"These are people that cared deeply about what they've done for our profession, and now today, we have to say to them how much we are grateful for what they have done," Lyles said. Jennings said the fallen officers were "heroes that were just simply trying to keep our community safe."

The Heinzens stay on the property in an annex of the house during all overnight bookings. Opening up the house for overnight investigations had always been their plan. I don't like the word haunted, because I feel that it has a negative connotation. I think we don't have the vernacular right now, we don't have the language at our disposal to describe the kind of integration and detachment that exists between the living and the dead. So, I'm hoping that over time, our language and our ability to be able to descriptively discuss things like this evolves. Because I don't call them ghosts, I call them spirits, but really when it comes down to it, it's all semantics.
How The Conjuring House Became A Tourist Destination For Ghost-Hunters
For a short while, the couple got to enjoy the three bedrooms and four fireplaces by themselves — well, that’s if you don’t count all the ghosts. Clothing folded on tabletops would leap off of them and fly across the room. The real Conjuring farmhouse, often referred to by the Perron family as the Old Arnold Estate, is still standing and is located in Harrisville, Rhode Island.
